Our team is here to welcome you. The visit takes you into the heart of the estate’s natural surroundings. As a result, you will be able to enjoy our activities: gastronomic picnics, aperitifs at sunset, demonstrations of horse-drawn farming, sweet wine tastings paired with chocolate or cheese…
HISTORICAL CELLAR DATING BACK 1880
The oxidized wines are ageing in big one hundred year old wooden casks( 350 HL) , where they absorb the characteristics left behind by their predecessors. Twenty, thirty, or forty years are required for them to reach their full maturity
PARK COMPRISING 1,000 DEMIJOHNS
At the beginning of June, the wine is racked into glass demijohns, placed outside in the open air (an area containing one thousand 60-litre demijohns).
Here for a period of 12 months, the wine is subjected to rays of sunshine and to extreme temperatures… an unique and traditional method of ageing.
The warm and friendly tasting room offers the opportunity of discovering the extraordinary diversity of MAS AMIEL’s terroir and of tasting its 20 vats. The winegrowing workshops offer an introduction to food and sweet wine pairings with cheese or chocolate.
