TASTING:

The MUSCAT MAS AMIEL is deliciously frivolous with its aromas of citrus and bergamot, its attack as lively as it is fresh and its mouth to bite like a very ripe fruit. This wine combines freshness, minerality and remarkable finesse.

PERFECT AGREEMENTS:

Delicious as an aperitif, it offers surprising combinations with marinated salmon or lemon scallop carpaccio. It will enhance pear charlotte and white fruit sorbets.

PLOTS, TERROIR, CULTURE:

Vineyard cultivated 100% in Biodynamics. Selection of terroirs on schists (Devèze sector) with acid pH and significant stoniness (50 to 60). Lower slopes and mid-slopes with superficial soils. Presence of the bedrock at 60-80cm. Southern exposure.

Soil maintenance by plowing and use of compost on the row. The age of the vines, trained in goblet form, is 10 to 25 years. The average yield is 18 hl/ha with planting densities of 4000 vines/ha.

GRAPE VARIETIES:

80 % muscat petit grain, 20 % muscat d’Alexandrie.

GRAPE HARVEST:

Manual, during the first two weeks of September. Double manual sorting of the bunches on a conveyor belt and vibrating table, direct pressing. Harvest with 15 to 16% alcohol potential.

VINIFICATION:

Vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel cuve which take care to protect the wine from any oxidation. Alcoholic fermentation at 18°C, with mutage with alcohol on juice at mid-fermentation.

BREEDING AND BOTTLING:

breeding in cuve on lees for 6 months.

3 to 5 Years
