Degustation

MAS AMIEL VINTAGE RESERVE exhales a nose of black berries and Mediterranean scrubland with a hint of citrus and blood orange. The palate expresses the fresh strength of suave acidulous burlat cherry aromas, followed by mild spicy notes.

PERFECT FOOD PAIRING

Duck with cherries or lamb tajine with prunes are its perfect allies.

WINEMAKING TECHNIQUES

Made in temperature-controlled concrete vat and stainless steel vat.Alcoholic fermentation at 25° C. Halfway through, extra alcohol was added (mutage) directly onto the fruit and the whole was left to steep for 15 to 20 days.

The fortification technique involves the addition of alcohol to the grape must, in view of blocking a wine’s fermentation. asphyxiated, the yeasts stop their activity, thereby allowing the end product to conserve part of its untransformed nature sugar.

MAS AMIEL adds that special touch by fortifying at just the right moment with just the right amount of alcohol. Both of these in-house secrets influence the typical style and balance of the estate’s fortified wines.
